It requires a hospital stay, a recovery period that can extend up to two months and represents an irreversible change. UFE offers an outpatient procedure and resolution that keeps your uterus intact, supports a much shorter healing period and may leave your reproductive goals within reach.

While UFE effectively addresses existing fibroids, the hormonal and lifestyle factors that contribute to new growth may still be present. This possibility is why the H.E.R. During and After UFE

UFE is performed in a comfortable outpatient setting with an experience designed to feel as calm and manageable as possible. 

The embolization begins with a small pinhole-sized entry point at the wrist or groin. Using live imaging as a continuous guide, your specialist carefully navigates a thin catheter through your vascular system until it reaches the blood vessels supplying your fibroids. From there, tiny dissolvable particles are delivered directly to those vessels, gently reducing circulation to the fibroid tissue while the surrounding area remains unaffected. In the weeks that follow, the fibroids gradually shrink as their blood supply is cut off.

Most women may return to gentle routines approximately within one week, but some pelvic cramping and general fatigue are common during the first few days as your body heals.
